Questions, playbooks, the ceiling.
Procurement officers, MEAL leads and evaluators ask the same class of question. Here are the answers we actually stand behind — including what IMP does not do.
IMP drafts. Humans Accept. Nothing client-facing becomes truth without a human gate where it matters.
In-product playbooks
Evaluation workhorse
TOR → Accept design → inception → field → draft evaluation → pack Accept
Primary product moat. Genre kits for generic evaluation, ETR multi-country, and IRB/pilot.
Day-to-day MERL + Delivery
People → indicators → actuals → learning acted → residual workspace
Operating system for implementers who need results next to people.
Finance (EMS)
Claims / vendors → approvals → reports (never auto-pays)
Humans own approvals and actual payment outside IMP.
ETR multi-country
ETR playbook + evaluation workbench
Multi-country evaluation with human ownership of access, politics and Accept.

What each capability actually does, and why a review cares. Honest ceiling.
OpenQuestions buyers actually ask
- What is IMP, in one sentence?
- A multi-tenant workspace where programme organisations keep people, consent, delivery, results, evaluation and finance — so the work stays when people leave.
- How is Ubu different from a chatbot?
- Ubu is embedded in the workflow. You drop a TOR, field note or receipt. It drafts the next step from your records. A human Accepts before anything is published as truth.
- Does this replace our evaluator or MERL advisor?
- No. Judgement stays human. IMP holds the record and the trail so advisors spend time on findings, not folders.
- Will this replace NetSuite, DHIS2 or Power BI?
- No. IMP is the operational system of record at programme level. It is designed to feed cleaner data into finance, HMIS and BI — not to displace them.
- How do we start without RFP theatre?
- Request a package invoice, or run the residual-capacity diagnostic at Altamont Advisory. Catalogue floors are frozen in the price book. Empty demo stays closed until ethics is dated.
- What is residual capacity, precisely?
- Consent history, indicator definitions and results, accepted findings and packages, and the operational structure of the workspace. What remains after close-out. The organisation holds it — not the consultant.
- Is there an offline mobile field app?
- Not yet. IMP is the organisational system of record. Field capture can feed it. CSV import is live. Kobo connect, list and preview are live; map/sync is on the roadmap. We will not sell an offline HMIS we do not have.
- Does Ubu write evaluations autonomously?
- No. IMP drafts. Humans Accept. That is a hard product boundary, including internally. We will not sell a zero-human evaluation engine.
- What packages exist?
- Two items: MERL Workspace Diagnostic USD 1,500, and IMP Evaluation Assignment USD 4,500. 60-day 100% credit into assignment. Request / invoice only. No cart. No Stripe. Not an AA store SKU.
- What does a 90-day sandbox include?
- The MERL Workspace Diagnostic is USD 1,500. It is 100% credited into the USD 4,500 IMP Evaluation Assignment if you continue within 60 days. Request / invoice only.
- Who is Viewer for?
- Donor and partner oversight. They can see without writing. It is a role inside the implementer’s tenant, not a shared staff login.
- Can we import what we already have?
- Yes. Templates and column mapping for beneficiaries, programmes, activities and milestones. Designed for spreadsheet-first teams, with duplicate handling as part of the path.
- Where is Altamont based?
- IMP is Founder IMP’s P&L. Altamont Advisory is a reseller only. The operating history the product was built from is Altamont Group’s assignment track — not a wall of IMP logos.
- How do independent consultants buy?
- Request the MERL Workspace Diagnostic (USD 1,500) or the IMP Evaluation Assignment (USD 4,500). Invoice only. No card.
The work stays when people leave
